Privacy notice

Drafted July 25, 2026. This notice describes the narrow founding-beta application. It should be professionally reviewed before StartBeacon expands its audience, data collection, payments, uploads, or automated communications.

What we collect

Name, email, business type, general service area, current business stage, the outcome you want, preferred help level, referral source, confirmation that you are an adult, and permission to review and respond to your application.

What we do not want

Why we use the information

• Review whether the founding beta is a reasonable fit.
• Prevent duplicate or abusive submissions.
• Prepare an Austin-approved response.
• Manage capacity, next actions, and beta results.
• Improve StartBeacon from anonymous or permission-approved product lessons.

What does not happen automatically

Submitting does not accept you, charge you, create an account, purchase anything, file anything, send you a package, enroll you in marketing, or publish your information. Austin reviews consequential actions.

Storage and access

Applications are intended to be stored in StartBeacon's protected hosted database. The internal review surface is restricted to approved administrators using authenticated access. The beta does not accept attachments.

Retention

Founding-beta rule approved by Austin on July 26, 2026: remove declined, duplicate, withdrawn, and inactive application data within 30 days after the application window closes or the record becomes inactive, unless a longer period is required to document a security incident or legal obligation. Accepted-client business records follow the approved client-record retention policy.

Sharing

Application information is not sold. It is not shared with partners, advertisers, or other applicants. A professional referral or disclosure requires a specific need and Austin's approval, except where legally required.

Testimonials and case studies

Feedback does not become public proof automatically. Names, quotes, business details, screenshots, and case studies require separate permission.
